A couple of weeks ago, my girls and I studied apples. So fun – and tasty!
Next week, we’ll be studying pumpkins together so I’m busy trying to get our printables together.
In addition to reading a ton of great pumpkin books, we will learn about a pumpkin’s life cycle, learn about different varieties, work on a few pumpkin crafts, and work through some fun pumpkin-themed printables.
My oldest girl – in 2nd grade – will work through this pumpkin life cycle mini-book. My Kindergartner and 2nd grader will both complete the label a pumpkin worksheet.
My almost 4-year-old will just color the pictures in her pumpkin life cycle mini-book.
So there’s a little for all three ages in this printable packet!

Pumpkin Life Cycle Mini-Book
This pumpkin life cycle mini-book is very similar to the apple life cycle mini-book published a few weeks ago here at Mama’s.
My 2nd grader will cut out and staple the book herself. I expect that she’ll be able to order the pages correctly with minimal help from me.
After we read several of our pumpkin books, she’ll be able to fill in each stage of the life cycle, writing in complete sentences.
There is also a place on the last page for her to write all of the pumpkin words that she knows. I’ll expect her to write several vocabulary words, such as seed leaves, ribs, shell, and vine.

Of course, you can print any of my worksheets in gray scale if you’d rather save on printer ink. Just a reminder. 
Using the words at the bottom, my 2nd grader will write in the correct term on the line. My Kindergartner and I will go over this paper together orally while she points out the answers.

Another favorite cut & paste activity! My girls love these types of hands-on learning worksheets.
In this Parts of a Pumpkin Worksheet, my girls will cut out the pumpkin words at the bottom of the page and paste them in the correct place on the picture.
